Questions
Pricing and planning
How much does a piano move cost?
It depends on piano type and size, distance, stairs, access restrictions, parking, staffing, equipment and timing. The independent contractor provides pricing after reviewing your request.
Why do you ask for stair counts?
Stairs, landings and turns often determine crew size and equipment, which affects both scheduling and price.
How far in advance should I request a quote?
Earlier is easier to schedule, especially at month-end and on weekends, though availability depends on the contractor.
Questions
The move itself
Can a grand piano be moved upstairs?
Sometimes, depending on the instrument, the staircase and the crew. The contractor assesses this before confirming a plan.
Will legs or pedals be removed?
Any dismantling and reassembly is decided and confirmed by the independent contractor.
Do you offer tuning, storage, crating or hoisting?
We don't promise these. They are separate services available only if an independent contractor confirms they provide them for your job.
Is my piano insured during the move?
Insurance coverage is confirmed directly by the independent contractor performing the work. Ask them about their coverage and terms before booking.
Do you move long distance or out of state?
